The Best Medicine
WORLDWIDE SHIPPING or LOCAL PICK UP in Amsterdam
The Best Medicine is a limited-run art zine in the form of a classic broadsheet newspaper—folded in half*, just like the real thing. Expertly printed by Newspaper Club in the UK, the total print run was 400 copies. After the launch show at De Balie, only 100 remain—now available in the shop for €9.99.
Inside are 101 portraits and reflections from members of Amsterdam’s unique and globally impactful English-language comedy scene. Stand-up comedians, writers, performers, and organizers were photographed and interviewed, then thoughtfully brought together in a print publication designed by Maxwell George. Also featured is an essay based on conversations between the performers and Niharika Iyengar.
This project is a celebration of community, connection, and the power of laughter—especially when shared in real life. A love letter to the people who get up on stage and help us get through the week.
Dimensions: 289×380mm. 20 pages of 80gsm bright recycled paper. 109 images. Broadsheet newspaper style. Printed by Newspaper Club in the UK.
Process Photo Club members receive 50% off.
